Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale

It's that time of year!

Tis the season! I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas! I know I did 😍  Our first year being married at Christmas was definitely a success. I was a little worried at first trying to figure out how we were going to split family events this year but it all worked out for the best. We got to spend Christmas Eve with my family and then Christmas Day with Jacobs so we got the best of both worlds. We are definitely two blessed people, that's for sure. As many of you know, we leave for our honeymoon on Friday so I will be MIA from social media until we get back on January 3rd. We decided to do a social media free vacation, which I think is a must on your honeymoon! So with that being said, this will be my last blog post for a week or so. Don't worry, I will be sharing lots and lots of pictures and honeymoon outfit details when we get back. Just because we'll be social media free doesn't mean we won't be taking plenty of pictures throughout the trip 😁

What better end of year blog post than one on the Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale! If you shopped their Anniversary Sale a few months ago then you know how great of deals they have. This sale is open NOW until January 2nd so you have plenty of time. However if you have shopped their sales before, then you know that certain items sell out FAST so I recommend going ahead and purchasing your favorite things now. I had several things from Nordstrom on my Christmas list this year (like every year) that are actually part of the sale now! Today, I am going to share with you my favorite items that I either got for Christmas or am planning on getting during this sale.

These Sam Edelman Brian Booties are one of the items that I actually got! I am OBSESSED with them. They fit true to size and are so comfortable, like all other Sam Edelman shoes that I've gotten before. He is definitely one of my favorite shoe designers. They also come in red that you can shop through the same link. These were originally $160 but are part of the sale now for only $64 so grab them while you can HERE

One thing you most likely know about me is that I LOVE leopard print so these are definitely one of my favorites! I got these for Christmas in the 'Sand Patent' color (unfortunately not part of the sale) for our honeymoon but how fun are these for spring and summer?! These Miller flip flops are usually about $200 but the leopard print is part of the sale now for right at $100! Shop them HERE now.

This Free People Mile High Fleece Fringe Scarf is a winter MUST HAVE. It's been so popular lately and can be styled so many different ways! Free People can be a pricey brand but this scarf is part of the sale now for only $40.80 😍  Plus, it also comes in a gold and white and orange and white version if you like brighter colors. Shop it HERE now before it's gone!

This BP Colorblock Oblong Scarf is in my cart to purchase during this sale! You definitely cannot beat the price of only $14.49. BP always has the best and most fun scarves. There are so many different ways to style it and trust me, I'll be wearing it many different ways once it comes in the mail. Shop it HERE now.

I am a huge fan of all things color block and striped so I had to have this BP Stripe Boucle Sweater! I sized down to a small because it has somewhat of an oversized fit but if you'd prefer it more oversized, I would stick to your normal size. It was originally $49 but it's part of the sale now for only $29.40. Shop it HERE now.

I don't know why but I have recently become obsessed with everything yellow and gold. This Cotton Emporium Dolman Neck Sweater was another thing that I got for Christmas and it's SO cute in person. It doesn't look like it, but it has somewhat of a cropped fit. I got a medium (my normal size) and paired it with a high waisted skort because it's a little short for my liking with jeans. However if you like short sweaters with jeans/pants, then this will be perfect for you! It also comes in gray that you can shop through the same link. It was originally $44 but now part of the sale for only $26.40. Shop it HERE now!

Winter Ready Wardrobe

Winter Ready Wardrobe

I cannot believe that Friday is the first day of winter! Not to mention, Christmas is only ONE WEEK away. Am I the only one that hasn't finished Christmas shopping yet?! One of my friends sent me a meme the other day that said "realizing it's almost Christmas and you still have gifts to get but all you've done was shop for yourself," and she must have been reading my mind that day 😂  But honestly, I have SO much left to do and so little time to do it. I know I can't be alone here!

I'm going to procrastinate Christmas shopping a little bit more and share my favorite winter sweaters with you! These are also perfect gifts for the girls on your list.

What's better than a cowl neck sweater?! This one is SO soft and comfortable and not to mention UNDER $60! I purchased this recently from Mary & Mak and have already styled it several different ways. It's so easy to dress up or down and can go with almost any color accessories. It runs slightly big so I sized down to a small and as you can see, it's still somewhat oversized! Shop this Nicolette Cowl Sweater here now before it's gone.

Even though you can style this sweater a million different ways, my favorite accessories to pair with it are these gorgeous Shelia Fajl earrings! I purchased these as soon as they came in stock at Mary & Mak and I can assure you that you'll be seeing more of them. They are so fun and different looking! They are a bit of a splurge, $115, but if you're anything like me then you'll definitely get your money's worth. Shop the Nicholas Earring from Mary & Mak here now for yourself or a special someone on your Christmas list!

I am also going to link my FAVORITE booties from Target here! I have gotten so many questions about them recently so I wanted to share them with you all since I haven't yet. They are super comfortable, as most Target shoes are, and you can wear them with so many different things throughout Fall and Winter. Shop them here now for ONLY $25!

Other New Winter Sweater Favorites Under $100:

Mary & Mak Fiesta Fuzzy Off Shoulder Top- $49.95

Mary & Mak Carson Soft Sweater- $58

The Best Day

November 10, 2018: Our Wedding Day

It has been ONE MONTH since we said 'I Do!' I cannot believe how fast the time has flown by. They say it flies by when you are having fun and that could not be more true. We will be going on our honeymoon in just a few short weeks and I absolutely cannot wait. For those of you that aren't my personal Facebook friend, I wanted to share some of our amazing wedding pictures with you. It just does not seem real that this day was a month ago!

Part One: Getting Ready

My bridesmaids, Mom, and I got ready at the Timberlake House in Louisburg, NC, which was also the location of our reception. It is the most beautiful house! If you are in the Raleigh, NC or surrounding area, I highly suggest you checking them out.

Part Two: The Guys

That morning while we were getting ready, Jacob and his groomsmen went skeet shooting!

Part Three: The Ceremony

Louisburg Baptist Church
Louisburg, NC

Part Four: The Reception

Thank you so much again to all of our family and friends who helped make our day so special. We love you ALL!

XOXO,

Mr. and Mrs. Wemyss
