Spring Statement Earrings

A Few of My Favorite Things

As you all know by now, statement earrings are my absolute favorite accessory. I've had so many people ask to see my earring collection so I've decided to share a few of my favorites with you! I also am going to share my favorite ways to style them as we transition into Spring. Most of these styles can be shopped on but I will also be linking all the ones that are not available on there.

Speaking of, I want to make sure you all know how to shop my posts on there! If you are viewing this post on a computer/desktop, look in the upper right corner and you will see the direct link. If you are viewing it on your phone, go to the app store and download the app. It's FREE and so easy to use! Once you download the app, search my username 'adailydoseofclass' where it says influencer search. You can follow me in the app to get notified every time I publish a post! It's so convenient and gives you access to SO many direct links.

Now back to the earrings! The first pair that I want to share are the Baublebar Rianne Drop Earrings in Cobalt Blue. I purchased these last summer and have gotten so much wear out of them! I will say they are on the heavier side so if you are planning an outfit for all day wear, I probably wouldn't pick these. However, if you are having a girls night out or dinner date, I would definitely choose them. They look amazing paired with white or black (my personal favorite is white). Shop them HERE now in blue and several other colors for only $44!

These Lisi Lerch tassels are a MUST HAVE for any earring lover like me! You can dress them up or down depending on the occasion. I wore them with several different tropical outfits to dinner on our honeymoon and I've also worn them to parties that called for cocktail attire. They come in every imaginable color and are made with the BEST quality. Shop them HERE now for UNDER $100! You can also shop the Lisi Lerch Bobbi Earrings (only $58) in white through the same link. ALSO... all Lisi Lerch earrings can be purchased with clip on backs rather than with a post so make sure to check that option out if you need clip ons!

My next favorites are only $4... yes, ONLY FOUR DOLLARS. That is an unheard of price for statement earrings! They are from Shein, which is one of my favorite places to online shop. I love fun earrings like this, especially when I'm on vacation. My favorite way to style these is with a black dress or romper! They are super light so they don't pull on your ears (even though they look like they would be heavy because of their size). They take the most simple outfit such a long way. Shop them HERE now!

These Kendra Scott beauties are the newest addition to my collection! They are slightly over $100 which is a bit of a splurge I know, but they are totally worth it. They look perfect with white tops/dresses/rompers/etc but they also look amazing with any shade of blue or green! They are part of the brand new Kendra Spring collection and just came out about a month ago. Shop them HERE now!

Speaking of Kendra Scott... who doesn't love finding her pieces on sale?! The pink and white tassel earrings are unfortunately no longer available. However, I found them in this GORGEOUS blue on major sale for UNDER $70 when they were originally $125! Grab them HERE now while you can.

These next earrings are SO fun for spring and summer and SO AFFORDABLE! They are only $18 and come in so many different colors. They are also very lightweight so you don't have to worry about them hurting your ears. I love the coral color and think it looks so good with white! It's such a fun and bright color and will be perfect to wear this Spring and into Summer. Shop them HERE now! I also linked several styles similar to them that you can shop through the same link if you want a different option.

Next are my personal favorites right now... the Allie Beads Lemon Earrings 😍I have gotten SO many questions about these and wanted to share them with you again here! I styled them a few weeks ago with a black jumpsuit. However, they would be perfect with anything black, white, or yellow. They are SO fun and add so much to even the simplest look. They are just under $75 and totally worth it! You will regret not having them in your earring collection this Spring! Grab them HERE now.

Last but not least are my two favorites from Sheila Fajl! They are both so lightweight and perfect for every day wear. I dress them up on the weekends with various outfits but I also wear them to work! The Isola Earrings HERE are $80 and the Gica Earrings HERE are only $60! The Gica's are the ones Jacob got me for Valentine's Day if you saw my post about that and I have worn them practically every day since. They are so simple but make such a statement at the same time.

Be sure to tag me if you purchase any of these because I'd love to see how you style them! Also, make sure to drop a comment below with any further styling questions.

Teacher + Blogger: A Balancing Act

with a surprise at the end so stay with me here...

I have seen so many new faces and names lately so I wanted to take a break from just the fashion and jewelry posts and talk about real life things for just a second. First of all if you are new to following me, THANK YOU and I really hope you enjoy my blog! I also recommend following along with me on Instagram and for even more content that doesn't always make it on here. I put a lot of time and effort into this and love every single minute of it but I want to always make sure you guys love it too. For as long as social media has been a thing, I've been following fashion/travel/make up/lifestyle/etc bloggers and have always thought, wow that is SO cool.. I wish I could do that. I went back and forth about starting my own for several years but never had the courage to do it. I spend hours and hours of my time telling my students that they will never know something until they try so why did I have to tell myself that for so long?! Who knows. Luckily, last June, I finally worked up the nerve and it was hands down one of the best decisions I've ever made! I know many girls who blog for their full time job and even though that is something I would love to maybe do one day, it's not the case for me right now. As many of you may know in addition to blogging, I am also a full time teacher.

If I had a dollar for every time someone asked me how I had time to do both, I would be rich 😂 I'm not going to lie, when I first started blogging in June of last year, I had NO IDEA how much effort and time that it took. If you don't understand blogging or follow many bloggers, you probably don't believe how much goes into it. When I started my blog, I had just finished my first year of teaching and was out for summer break. I had a lot of time to put into content planning, doing collaborations, typing up blog posts, doing photo shoots, etc. so everything was great! But in August, school started back and it hit me like a brick wall. Not only was I blogging full time (or trying to) and teaching full time, but also I was in the middle of planning my wedding. It was extremely hard to manage my time at first and I'm not even going to lie, I'm sure that my teaching and my blogging suffered from it at times. However, time management is something that I've always been good at so I figured it out pretty quickly (I can credit that to my OCD and color coordinated planner lol). I've always been a firm believer in the quote, "people make time for the things that they care about." And I don't mean that you can magically have time to do every single thing that you want to do every single day. We all know that's not remotely realistic. What I mean is that if you truly care about something enough, you will make it work. That goes for jobs, relationships, friendships, everything. I love blogging and I love teaching so therefore I figured out a way to do both. I try to make my blog posts relevant and affordable and also incorporate teaching things from time to time (which I'm working on doing more of that).

So how do I do it all? You know, manage my time. If you are a teacher, you know that not only are you not supposed to be on your cell phone during the school day but also what is a phone when you have a classroom full of kids running around?! 😂 I type up all of my blog posts on the weekends and at night and publish them either the next morning or that night depending on what time it is. Each full blog post that I type up takes anywhere from 1 hour to 2 hours, depending on how much writing I do, pictures I include, and links I share. So as you can see, it's not easy but it's worth it to me and I love every second of it.

My point is... if you care enough about something GO FOR IT! Do what makes you happy and give it your ALL.

Every minute that I spend teaching is for my students and every minute that I spend blogging is for you guys! Just like the smile on a students face when they learn something new that I've taught them, nothing makes me happier than reading the comments/messages/etc from my followers telling me about something I posted that they loved. Hearing those affirmations really is the best feeling! It makes this balancing act all worth while 💕
