How to Style Your White Top

Styling Your White Top

I've said this before but I'll say it again... I never knew I could love wearing the color white so much until I got engaged. From the day Jacob popped the question, I immediately started filling my closet with white white white. I needed white dresses, white tops, white pants, white shoes, white earrings, etc. I mean I was a bride to be and that's what you do right?! Maybe not but I surely thought so at the time. I have probably overdone the all white looks over the last year and half but honestly, I'm not mad about it. It's easily one of my favorite colors to wear now. Throw on some self tanner and you are GOLDEN, figuratively and literally.

I have recently come across a local NC boutique called 'Shop 5th and Franklin,' which is where I got this gorgeous peplum white top. It's only $40 and can be styled SO many different ways. I've only had it for a week now and I've already worn it several times. The key to styling a white top and making it your own is with accessories. You all know I'm a huge jewelry lover but it's the truth. There's really no better way to make an outfit your own. Statement earrings are my favorite but sometimes a statement necklace works just as well. Today I'm going to share my two favorite ways to accessorize your plain white top! I'm also going to be linking several white tops that I'm loving right now.

Style 1: Casual/Statement Earrings

The first way that I styled this top is more casual with jeans and wedges. This is the perfect look for a night out to dinner or shopping day with the girls. You could also dress it down even more and throw on some sandals instead of wedges. I wore a pair of subtle statement earrings with this look that are only $32 and very lightweight! I am usually a fan of gold rather than silver but when I saw these, I had to have them. They are so cute and pair perfectly with this top. Shop them here now from the Poppy Shop.

Style 2: More Dressed Up/Statement Necklace

For starters, please excuse the dust on my mirror that I have neglected to wipe off this week. I really didn't think it was that bad until I stood in front of it with some black shorts on... my goodness (I hope my Mom doesn't read this). Anyway. This is a dressier look that I paired with black high waisted shorts and a Twine & Twig statement necklace! If you have a pair of black wedges or black ankle strap heels, they could dress this look up even more. It would be perfect to wear on a date night out to dinner or night out on vacation this Spring/Summer.

Crosby by Mollie Burch Black Shorts: HERE (size down for a more flattering fit, I'm usually a medium but I'm wearing a small in these)

Touch the World

Did you guys know today was Earth Day?!

I am SO excited to share something absolutely amazing with you in honor of Earth Day today. If you have been following me for a while, you know that I am a huge fan of Dune Jewelry and have many pieces that are special to me. Their jewelry is so unique and personal! This year, in honor of Earth Day, they are raising money through a campaign called Touch the World. They have created 12 beautiful bracelets that all represent a unique cause that focuses on making the world a better place. I am absolutely honored to be a part of this campaign and am so excited to share with you the two bracelets that I chose and why they are so special to me 💗

As many of you know in addition to blogging, I am also a full time elementary Special Education teacher. I have the pleasure of teaching students with various disabilities and learning more from them every day than they probably learn from me. If you have ever met or worked with a child with Autism, you know just how amazing they are. This is why I chose this bracelet that supports and benefits Autism Awareness. 10% of the proceeds from these bracelets go towards Autism Awareness! Read more about this beautiful bracelet and shop it HERE

The next bracelet that I chose is the Mental Health Awareness bracelet. Millions of people in today's society struggle with a form of mental illness. This bracelet benefits Mental Health Awareness and helps fund efforts made to better the lives of the millions of people that are affected by it. 10% of the proceeds from these bracelets will be donated to support that cause. Click HERE to read more about this bracelet and shop it now!

Support this wonderful cause by shopping any of the 12 Touch the World bracelets here! Use code 'EARTHDAY10' for 10% off of your purchase.

Save vs. Splurge

My Favorite Designer Dupes

My NUMBER ONE REQUESTED BLOG POST is finally live and I am so excited to share these amazing finds with you! As many of you know, I'm a sucker for a good designer item and have collected many of them over the years... probably many more than I should have but oh well. However, lately I have come across SO many dupes for several of those items that are almost identical and no where near the same price. All of the dupe items that I am reviewing are ones that I actually have and use myself so I'm not just basing what I'm saying off of what I've seen on the internet. These reviews are totally honest and based totally off of the real life items! Feel free to comment or direct message me on Instagram with any other questions.

You can shop all of the items here in the app! This is where everything is linked.

1. David Yurman Link Bracelet- $28 VS. $1,700

I mean... the price difference should say it all 😂I have the authentic David Yurman link bracelet in the all silver version that I wear every single day. It was a gift given to me and I wouldn't trade it for the world! However, this $28 two toned version is also amazing to wear on a daily basis and clearly MUCH more affordable. This dupe is from the Styled Collection, which is a place I have purchased from many many times. Their fashion jewelry is amazing and the quality is the BEST. I have several of their DY dupe bracelets and pair them with my authentic ones all the time! Yes, if you are a DY lover like me, you can tell the difference. However if you ask me, if someone is looking that closely at your wrist... they need to back up.  The authentic DY bracelet is the second picture and the first picture is the dupe!

2. Cult Gaia Arc Bamboo Handbag- $37.99 VS. $100.80 (on sale)

When this original handbag first came out a few years ago, I BEGGED for it... literally like a small child begs for candy and the store with their Mom 😂I'm not proud but it's the truth. So I finally got it and have been obsessed with it ever since. The original authentic one is on sale right now for $100.80 so if you're feeling like splurging, go for it and grab it here now! OR you can grab this dupe version that you see in all of my pictures for only $37.99. I don't know about you but that sounds like a much better deal to me. I have had my dupe version for over a year now and I have not had one single problem with it. The quality is just as good as the authentic one! The only difference is the color. The authentic version (second picture) is lighter and the dupe (first picture) is darker.

3. Tularosa High Waisted Bikini- $24.99 VS. $146

I am obsessed with both the authentic and dupe versions of this to be honest! They both come in multiple colors and are both true to size. I purchased the authentic one in white for our honeymoon and love it but I honestly like the dupe version just as much in the stripes. It comes in several different prints and I will be linking a few of them for you! The dupe is the first picture and the authentic Tularosa is the bottom picture.

4. Steve Madden Ankle Strap Heels- $24.99 VS. $90

There are actually several dupe versions for these shoes that are all amazing! With the help of my dog and her teeth, I have had to purchase about 5 pairs now over the last 2 years so I am very thankful for each and every one of the dupes. I am linking my top favorite dupes and I have had them all at one point or the other! They are all super comfortable. Side note.. I do highly recommend spraying suede protectant on them before wearing though!

5. David Yurman X Bracelet- $24 VS. $495

This is another dupe that I got from the Styled Collection! I absolutely love it. The quality is amazing and it looks so good paired with my other authentic DY bracelets. I wear this one every day! Again, if you are a DY fan, you can tell the difference up close but seriously who is looking?! The authentic one is the top picture and the dupe version is on the bottom.

6. Hermes Clic H Bracelet- $14.38 VS. $640

This is probably my number one favorite dupe EVER. It is absolutely amazing and I'm not ashamed to say I purchased it in 3 colors. I mean you absolutely cannot beat the quality or the price. I actually do not have the authentic Hermes bracelet but several of my friends do and unless I get up close and personal dissecting their bracelets, I cannot tell the difference just from looking. Clearly the gold is different because I mean it's gold... let's be honest. If you are going to purchase any of these dupes, this is DEFINITELY the first one I'd get! The authentic is the first picture and the dupe is the second!

Make sure to share with me if you purchase any of these dupes! I always love hearing your reviews and seeing how you style things.

Easter Dress Ideas

Finding the Perfect Easter Dress

Who else remembers searching for the perfect Easter dress every year growing up?! It was one of my favorite things to do with my Mom and Grandmother. We all loved wearing our Easter dresses to church on Easter Sunday and I'd be willing to bet we could still all show you every one of ours that we've worn each year. In fact, when we were walking into church last Sunday, my grandmother looked at my Mom and I and said, "this is my Easter dress from last year.. do you think anyone will notice?!" 😂

I usually do not start shopping for mine this early but I have to admit, I've already found mine for this year. This Anna Cate Collection dress is TO DIE FOR. As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to have it. It comes in a variety of colors and is SO flattering! I'm wearing the XS here so I highly recommending sizing down one or two sizes to give yourself the perfect fit. I typically wear a Small in Anna Cate dresses and a Medium in some of the tops and this XS fits me perfectly. I'm a size 4-6 in pants and 5'3 for reference!

These gorgeous statement earrings look AMAZING paired with it (in my opinion anyway) so be sure to click HERE to shop these too in 3 different colors!

Easter dress ideas were one of my most requested blog topics for Spring so I am going to be sharing all of my favorites with you today! I also got a ton of requests for maxi dresses and a ton of requests for mini/midi length dresses so I will be sharing a variety of both. Most of these dresses will be linked in the app so you can follow me there to shop them. However, some of them are not available to shop in the app so be sure to check and see if the dress name has a link! You can click there to shop them as well 💙
